Abstract

Title:Intermittently flooded soils in the lake Petelinje basin
Abstract:
In this paper, we have observed and analysed the chemical and physical properties of soils in the basin of the intermittently flooded Lake Petelinje, which is part of the seasonal lakes of Pivka. Based on field and laboratory work, we have described factors of soil formation and processes such as reduction and oxidation that are important for the development of soils under the influence of seasonal flooding waters.
