Abstract
Diplomsko delo predstavlja proces video produkcije nastopa glasbene skupine v živo. Končni posnetek je sestavljen iz več istočasno posnetih kadrov, inštrumenti pa so od blizu posneti z več različnimi mikrofoni. Predmet te diplomske naloge je celoten proces od načrtovanja do izvedbe ter na koncu še združitve teh kadrov in posameznih zvočnih posnetkov v smiselno celoto. Teoretični del predstavlja povezavo med glasbo in raznimi vizualnimi elementi v zgodovinskem kontekstu. Prav tako oriše teoretično ogrodje za izvedbo video produkcije, ki se deli na predprodukcijo, produkcijo in postprodukcijo. S tem ogrodjem smo osmislili tudi naš projekt. V procesu predprodukcije smo se z glasbeno skupino in snemalno ekipo seznanili z navodilom, izdelali sinopsis, enostaven scenarij in snemalno knjigo. Prav tako smo izbrali primerno lokacijo in primerno opremo za izvedbo produkcije, ki je potekala v trboveljskem Domu svobode, kjer so glasbeniki igrali v velikem krogu sredi dvorane, snemalna ekipa pa je vse posnela. Kasneje smo v procesu postprodukcije vse posnetke najprej uredili, nato smo posamezne zvočne posnetke obdelali in jih združili v celoto, končen zvočni posnetek pa združili s končno montažo videoposnetkov. Za zvočni del postprodukcije smo uporabili program Apple Logic Pro X, za vizualni del pa Apple Final Cut Pro. Ogrodje, postavljeno za klasično video produkcijo je bilo koristno, a ga je bilo treba nekoliko prilagoditi za naš dotični projekt. Rezultat dela je bil obdelan videoposnetek celotnega nastopa, ki je vseboval več različnih kadrov in obdelan zvok, zajet z več namenskimi mikrofoni.

Title:
Live music performance video and process behind it
Abstract:
The present thesis encompasses the process of video production in the case of a live music session. The final video is comprised of different simultaneously shot angles and individually miked instruments. These individual elements have been planned for in the pre-production stage, captured in the production stage and finally mixed together in the post-production stage. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the historical connection between music and various visual elements is explored. The framework for video production, which is split into three different parts – pre-production, production and post-production – is also presented. Our video has been created through said framework. In the pre-production phase, we collaborated with the band and the film crew. We agreed on a brief and created a synopsis, a simple script and a storyboard. We also chose a suitable filming location as well as the equipment needed for the shoot that took place in Trbovlje, at the Dom svobode hall, where the musicians played their set spread out in a circle while the videographers recorded them. Later, in post-production, the different files were first edited and later combined with the mixed audio tracks for the final video. Apple Logic Pro X was used for the audio portion of post-production, while Apple Final Cut Pro was used for the video portion. The framework intended for classic video production was found to be very useful, although it had to be somewhat adapted. The result was an edited video of the entire performance, which included different shots of the performance as well as processed audio captured via dedicated microphones.
