Višinska rast dreves različnih drevesnih vrst v gošči na rastišču podgorskega bukovja

Abstract
Raziskava višinske rasti bukve, smreke, gorskega javorja, velikega jesena, mokovca in divje češnje je bila izvedena na rastišču podgorskega bukovja s tevjem v Zasavju, Slovenija. Namen raziskave je bil preučiti i) vrstno specifične razlike v višinski rasti dreves v razvojni fazi gošče in ii) vpliv socialnega položaja dreves na dinamiko rasti. Naključno je bilo izbranih 22 dreves, vzorci posameznih drevesnih vrst so obsegali od enega do osem dreves. Tedensko smo merili višinske prirastke terminalnega poganjka, meritve so se beležile od aprila do konca avgusta 2023, izmerili smo tudi letno debelinsko rast dreves na prsni višini in na koreninskem vratu. Rezultati so pokazali največji letni višinski prirastek pri smreki (34 cm/leto), mokovcu (39 cm/leto) in češnji (35 cm/leto), bukev je dosegla povprečni prirastek 30 cm/leto, sledil je gorski javor s 27 cm/leto. Najmanjši prirastek smo zabeležili pri velikem jesenu (20 cm/leto), ki pa je bil zaradi poškodb po jesenovem ožigu močno zmanjšan. Ugotovili smo tudi opazne razlike v sezonski dinamiki višinske rasti med posameznimi drevesnimi vrstami. Pri bukvi in večini drugih vrst smo zaznali le en rastni sunek, dva sta izkazala le divja češnja in mokovec. Analiza je potrdila razlike v socialnem položaju, saj so dominantna drevesa v povprečju v višino zrasla za 12 cm več kot podstojna. Ugotovitve so pomembne za razumevanje medvrstnih odnosov v gošči in predstavljajo temeljno znanje za aplikacijo gozdnogojitvenih ukrepov.

Title:Height growth of trees of various tree species in a thicket stage stand in a submontane European beech forest site
Abstract:
The research on height growth of European beech (Fagus sylvatica), Norway spruce (Picea abies), Sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus), European ash (Fraxinus excelsior), whitebeam (Sorbus aria), and wild cherry (Prunus avium) was conducted in a submontane beech forest in the Zasavje region, Slovenia. The objectives were to study i) species-specific differences in tree height growth during thicket stage and ii) the influence of social status on growth dynamics. A total of 22 trees were randomly selected, with tree species samples ranging from one to eight trees. Weekly measurements of terminal shoot height growth were recorded from April to the end of August 2023, along with annual diameter growth measurements at breast height and root collar. Results indicated the highest annual height growth for spruce (34 cm/year), whitebeam (39 cm/year), and cherry (35 cm/year). Beech exhibited an average growth of 30 cm/year, followed by sycamore maple at 27 cm/year. The smallest growth was recorded for European ash (20 cm/year), which was significantly reduced due to the ash dieback damage. Seasonal dynamics varied significantly among tree species. In beech and most other species, only one growth spurt was detected, while wild cherry and whitebeam exhibited growth in two growth spurts. The analysis confirmed differences in social status, as on average dominant trees grew 12 cm taller than suppressed trees. These findings provide valuable insights into interspecies interactions in the thicket stage and represent the basic knowledge for employment of silvicultural measures.
