Abstract

Title:Analysis of the Effects of Different Sports on Selected Motor Skills in First Grade Primary School Students
Abstract:
In this thesis, we studied the impact of sports training on children's motor skills and the lifestyle of six-year-old students. We compared the results of tests of coordination, speed and strength after a six-month training period on a sample of students who practiced various sports and students who did not. We found that students who train perform better in all motor skills compared to those who do not train, with the differences being statistically significant in strength, while the differences in coordination and speed are less pronounced and not statistically significant. We also found that students who do not train have a less active lifestyle. Our findings point to the importance of holistic development of motor skills and the organization of school time, where it would make sense to include more movement activities to promote healthy lifestyle habits.
