Abstract
Delo vključuje pregled teoretičnih osnov sledljivosti, analizo trenutnega stanja v podjetju in eksperimentalno oceno implementacije novih tehnologij v realno proizvodno okolje. Preizkusi vključujejo meritve indikatorja moči sprejetega signala, preučitev vpliva orientacije oznake in kovinskih površin na zanesljivost sistema ter stroškovno analizo, kar ponuja celovit vpogled v učinke digitalizacije sledljivosti na proizvodne procese.

Title:Implementation of RFID technology to improve traceability in a production process: Case study of an industrial application, and its’ return of investment analysis
Abstract:
The master's thesis examines the implementation of modern digital solutions for traceability in the manufacturing process of a company facing the challenge of inadequate traceability of components and semi-finished products. The main goal is to improve the efficiency and reliability of the process by introducing RFID technology and IoT systems, enabling the company to achieve better control over the production flow, reduce errors, and optimize inventory. The thesis includes a review of the theoretical traceability foundations, an analysis of the current traceability state within the company, and an experimentally supported assessment of implementing new technologies in a real-world environment. The tests involve measurements of RF signal strength in the manufacturing environment, examination of different metal surfaces impact on data transmission reliability, and cost analysis, providing a comprehensive insight into effects of digital traceability introduction on the manufacturing process.
