Josip Gorinšek (1936–2021) je skoraj neznan avtor, ki je geometrijsko abstrakcijo pričel ustvarjati v začetku 70. let. Njegova dela so bila označena za samohodstvo, ki se je približevalo delu z računalnikom. Raziskave kažejo, da je treba njegov opus gledati širše in da je njegovo delo tvorilo močno podstat za poznejše tehnološke poskuse vse do današnje kibernetične in druge tehnološke umetnosti.

Abstract

Josip Gorinšek (1936–2021) is an almost unknown artist who began to create geometric abstraction in the early 1970s. His work has been described as maverick art that was close to working with computers. Research shows that his oeuvre needs to be considered from a broader perspective and that his work has formed a strong basis for later technological experiments up to today’s cybernetic and other technological art.
