Abstract
Namen dela je bil ugotoviti, ali obstaja kemijski proces oziroma reakcija, ki lahko nadomesti fosilna goriva. Uvod dela se ukvarja s preučevanjem lastnosti treh obstoječih energetskih virov in lastnostmi kemijskih reakcij, ki služijo kot teoretično ozadje za določitev splošnih lastnosti energetskih virov in reakcijskih pogojev. Načrt eksperimentalnega dela je bil določiti specifikacije idealnega energetskega vira, opredeliti glavne lastnosti idealnega energetskega vira in nato oceniti pomembnosti lastnosti za sistematično postopanje pri razvoju novega vira. Določilo se je pet glavnih lastnosti. Pri drugi glavni lastnosti je prišlo do zaključka razvoja, ker je bilo ocenjeno, da reakcije, ki bi zadostila potrebam druge lastnosti, ni. Tekom razvoja se je odkrilo drugačne pristope pri ravnanju s kemijskimi viri, kjer je bil poudarek na integraciji obnovljivih virov in optimizaciji obstoječih industrijskih procesov.

Title:Development of sustainable energy sources
Abstract:
The purpose of the work was to find out if there is such a chemical process or reaction that could replace fossil fuels. The introduction tackles with the properties of three currently existing energy sources and chemical reactions, which serve as a theoretical foundation for the determination of general properties of energy sources and reaction conditions. The plan of the experimental part was to define the specifications of an ideal energy source, characterize the main properties of an ideal energy source and then to assess the importance of each main property so that they may be examined systematically. Five main properties were characterized. At the second property the development was stopped because it was evaluated that a reaction that would fulfil the requirements of the second property did not exist. During the development, alternative ways of handling chemical properties were presented, where emphasis was made on the integration of renewable energy sources and optimization of existing industrial processes.
