Živo upanje

»Bog je položil svoje upanje, svoje ubogo upanje v slehernega izmed nas, v najnižjega izmed grešnikov. Bo mar rečeno, da mi najnižji, da mi grešniki nismo položili svojega upanja vanj?« (Péguy 2012, 89) Upanje predpostavlja vero. Krščansko upanje, ki se popolnoma razlikuje od zgolj človeškega upanja, pa je razumljivo samo tedaj, če ga dojemamo kot izrazno obliko ljubezni. Jezus Kristus je upanje sveta zaradi svoje zavzetosti za nas – s svojo zmago nad smrtjo in vstajenjem. Občutje nezadostnosti se v človeku kar naprej in vedno bolj presunljivo ponavlja. Ob tem pa se dviga poslanstvo kristjana, ki s tem, ko v njem živi Kristus (prim. Gal 2,20), Kristusa prinaša svetu. To ne osramoti, »ker je Božja ljubezen izlita v naša srca po Svetem Duhu, ki nam je bil dan« (Rim 5,5).

Abstract

Hope always presupposes faith. Christian hope, distinct from merely human hope, can be understood only as a modality of love. Jesus Christ is hope for the world because of his care for us with his victory above death and with his resurrection. The man's feeling of incapacity is coming over and over back. The mission of the Christian is bringing Christ to the world as Christ lives in him (Gal 2,20). Bringing this hope »does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us« (Rom 5,5).
