dom(ov) - Idejna zasnova prilagoditve Bežigrajske stanovanjske soseske BS6 s poudarkom na vključevanju starejših

V preteklem stoletju se je starostna sestava prebivalstva občutno spremenila, kar je posledično prineslo velike spremembe v sestavi družbe. Dva ključna dejavnika, ki vplivata na ta pojav sta: znižana umrljivost, ki je posledično prinesla podaljšanje pričakovane življenjske dobe, ter hkrati visoka rodnost 20. stoletja. Skupaj sta pomenila povečanje števila prebivalcev in delež starejših od 64 let (65+). Ta aktualna tema se odraža na veliko področjih, med drugim tudi v arhitekturi. Staranje prebivalstva namreč zahteva premislek o prostoru, v katerem posamezniki preživljajo to življenjsko obdobje in kaj se zgodi, ko se ne moremo več popolnoma zanesti na lastno samostojnost. V mestni občini Ljubljana velik delež občanov živi v modernističnih soseskah, zgrajenih v času od 60-ih do konca 80-ih let 20. stoletja. So pomemben in danes zelo prepoznaven element urbanega tkiva. Vpete so v javne zelene površine in vsebujejo lastnosti, ki igrajo ključno vlogo pri oblikovanju prijetnega bivalnega okolja. Ena od teh, je stanovanjska soseska BS6 (zgrajena leta 1963), ki je bila prva soseka narejena po modelu “idealne” soseske. Ker novo obdobje prinaša tudi nove probleme, se projekt ukvarja z možnostmi prilagoditve soseske, na današnje demografske spremembe. Projekt se igra z idejo selitve oskrbe k posamezniku, namesto selitve posameznika v oskrbo – kot je navada danes.

Abstract

In the past century, the age structure of the population has changed significantly, leading to major shifts in the composition of society. Two key factors driving this phenomenon are the reduction in mortality, which has consequently extended life expectancy, and the high birth rates of the 20th century. Together, these factors have increased both the population size and the proportion of those aged 65 and over. This relevant topic impacts many areas, including architecture. An aging population requires reflection of the spaces where individuals spend this stage of life and what happens when they can no longer fully rely on their independence. In the Municipality of Ljubljana, a large portion of residents live in modernist neighborhoods built between the 1960s and the late 1980s. These neighborhoods are an important and now very recognizable element of the urban fabric. They are integrated with public green spaces and contain features that play a key role in creating a pleasant living environment. One of these is the BS6 residential neighborhood (built in 1963), which was the first to be designed according to the model of the “ideal” neighborhood. As a new era brings new challenges, this project explores ways to adapt the neighborhood to today’s demographic changes. The project experiments with the idea of bringing care to the individual rather than moving the individual to elderly care centers, as is the common practice today.
