In the thesis I will present archaeological remins of the Roman conquest and Romanization in the valleys of Soča and Idrijca river. What is the evidence that we already know and what were the main events that led to the Romanization and Roman conquest. I will present the history and what happened after establishment of colony Aquileia. Selected sites of Alpine region like Most na Soči, Grad pri Reki and Gradič pri Kobaridu and some finds of military weapons are taken into consideration. Thesis includes a comparative comparative study of the evidence with selected sites in Alpine region.
