Abstract
V laboratoriju smo v programu Exocad oblikovali dva mostička maryland. So minimalno invazivna vrsta restavracije.

Title:Computer aided fabrication of Maryland bridge in dental prosthetics : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: The Maryland bridge is a fixed prosthetic replacement mainly used for missing teeth in the anterior region. Over the years, the technique of making the bridge has changed. There are several modifications of the Maryland bridge based on the material used, the method of fabrication, and the type of retention. It most often replaces the anterior lateral incisor, but there is also a version of the bridge that replaces other teeth in the anterior and posterior areas. In Europe bridges fixed with one wing are increasingly more used, and with the development of technology, instead of the classic technique of fabricating the bridge, the digital one is used. The Maryland bridge can be used to restore function and aesthetics as an alternative to implants and classic bridges. Purpose: The purpose of the thesis is to present what the Maryland bridge is, to describe its parts and function, how they are catagorized, what are the indications and contraindications of use. We will also describe the digital bridge manufacturing processes and the materials we use. In the practical part of the assignment, we will make the bridge using digital technology. We are interested in how different catagories of bridges compare to eachother. Methods: The theoretical part is based on the review of professional websites and professional literature. In the theoretical part the descriptive method will be used. In the practical part of the assignment theoretical knowledge was applied to fabricate digitaly made Maryland bridges. Results: we reviewed several different literatures and wrote the thesis. The theoretical part includes information about Maryland bridge in general and its digital fabrication. Two Maryland bridges were designed in the laboratory and three were fabricated using dry as well as wet milling technique. Discussion and Conclusion: The Maryland bridge is an adhesive fixed dental bridge. It can be used for temporary prosthetic care or for a longer period of time. They are a minimally invasive type of restauration. For attachment, it is not necessary to remove the entire perimeter of the carrier tooth, but only the part where the retention wings will be attached. In some cases, the tooth surface is not removed at all and the bridge is attached directly to the tooth surface. Various authors report the high clinical endurance of the modern Maryland bridges. In most cases, they recommend making a single-winged bridge in the intercanine sector, since a double-winged bridge, has a higher probability of deatachment and fracture.
