Abstract
V magistrskem delu je predstavljen razvoj in delovanje analizatorja signala digitalne prizemne televizije (ang. Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial, v nadaljevanju DVB-T). Analizator je izveden s programirljivim radijskim sprejemnikom (ang. Software Defined Radio, v nadaljevanju SDR) HackRF One v kombinaciji z računalnikom Raspberry Pi. Analiza signala se izvaja v odprtokodnem programu GNU Radio Companion, v katerem je bil razvit poseben vgrajeni Python blok, ki analizira MPEG-2 transportni tok in izpiše tabele storitvenih informacij (ang. Service Information, v nadaljevanju SI) in tabele informacij specifičnega programa (ang. Program Specific Information, v nadaljevanju PSI). V prvem delu naloge so predstavljeni standardi, ki definirajo področje DVB-T tehnologije, saj je njihovo razumevanje pomembno za pravilno nastavitev ključnih parametrov analizatorja in prav tako definirajo ključne tehnične zahteve, ki jih mora SDR radijski sprejemnik podpirati. Sledi prikaz arhitekture analizatorja in teorija delovanja SDR tehnologije in obrazložitev zahtev, ki so pripeljale do izbere HackRF One radija. Prav tako je opisan postopek snemanja radijskega spektra in izbira sprejemne antene. V drugem sklopu naloge je predstavljen razvoj vgrajenega Python bloka v programskem okolju GNU Radio Companion, ki opravi analizo MPEG-2 transportnega toka. Rezultati analize so PSI in SI tabele, ki jih analizator izpiše v tekstovne datoteke. PSI tabele so ključnega pomena za uspešno demultipleksiranje in pravilno dekodiranje vseh programov, ki sestavljajo sprejeti DVB-T multipleks. V zaključku naloge je raziskana možnost nadgradnje analizatorja, razložene so njegove pomanjkljivosti in predstavljene funkcionalne nadgradnje, ki bi analizator v prihodnje še izboljšale. SDR sprejemnik je bil izbran zaradi želje po popularizaciji in spoznavanju SDR tehnologije, ki se izkazuje za pomemben tehnološki napredek na področju telekomunikacij in kot odličen učni pripomoček za študente telekomunikacijskih tehnologij.

Title:An analyser of DVB-T signals
Abstract:
This master's thesis presents the development and operation of a DVB-T signal analyzer. The analyzer is implemented using an SDR radio receiver HackRF One in combination with a Raspberry Pi computer. Signal analysis is performed in the open-source program GNU Radio Companion, where a custom-built Python block was developed to analyze the MPEG-2 transport stream and display the SI and PSI tables. The first part of the thesis presents the standards that define the field of DVB-T technology, as understanding them is crucial for correctly setting the key parameters of the analyzer and defining the key technical requirements that the SDR radio receiver must support. This is followed by a presentation of the analyzer's architecture, the theory of SDR technology, and an explanation of the requirements that led to the choice of the HackRF One radio. The process of recording the radio spectrum and selecting the receiving antenna is also described. In the second part of the thesis, the development of the custom Python block in the GNU Radio Companion programming environment is presented, which performs the analysis of the MPEG-2 transport stream. The results of the analysis are PSI and SI tables, which the analyzer outputs into text files. PSI tables are crucial for successful demultiplexing and proper decoding of all the programs that make up the received DVB-T multiplex. The conclusion of the thesis explores the possibility of upgrading the analyzer, explains its shortcomings, and presents functional upgrades that could further improve the analyzer in the future. The SDR receiver was chosen due to desire, to popularize and explore SDR technology, which has proven to be an important technological advancement in the field of telecommunications and an excellent learning tool for students of telecommunications technologies.
