In my master's thesis, I researched the geological, geomechanical, and hydrogeological characteristics of the area designated for the construction of residential buildings in the southern part of Dolenjske Toplice, approximately 22,000 m² in size. I carried out the investigations in collaboration with GI ZRMK d. o. o., and the Geological Survey of Slovenia. Based on various studies conducted in the area, I focused on analyzing the results of fieldwork. This work included engineering-geological mapping, exploratory drilling, measurements with dynamic and static penetrometers, and hydrogeological investigations. he emphasis was on creating longitudinal geological profiles using the GEO5 software and developing of a 3D model of the surface, as well as on determining the characteristic values of soils and rocks in the area. On this basis, I calculated the design resistances of the foundation soils and prepared guidelines for the foundation of structures. I presented the possibilities of founding residential buildings on soil, which in this case is clayey-silty, on bedrock, i.e., limestone, or on artificial stone embankments. The use of the Settle software enabled me to calculate the settlements of foundations on the area of clayey-silty soil.
