Abstract
V nadaljevanju prek zakonodaje, teorije in sodne prakse podrobneje predstavim pridobitev državljanstva Republike Slovenije z izredno naturalizacijo. Diplomska naloga vključuje tudi prikaz statističnih podatkov izredne naturalizacije.

Title:Acquisition of citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia by extraordinary naturalisation
Abstract:
Citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia shall be acquired in several ways, including naturalisation, i.e. admission to citizenship on the basis of an application. There are several types of acquisition of citizenship by naturalisation under Slovenian law. One of these is so-called extraordinary naturalisation, which is regulated by Article 13 of the Citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia Act. In order to acquire citizenship by extraordinary naturalisation, all legal conditions must be cumulatively fulfilled. The competent authority has the discretion to admit the applicant to citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia, if this is in the national interest. In this thesis, I first briefly present the historical aspect of acquiring citizenship on Slovenian territory, followed by a presentation of the current legal regime for acquiring citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia. Then, through legislation, theory and judicial practice, I present in more detail the acquisition of citizenship of the Republic of Slovenia by extraordinary naturalisation. The thesis also includes statistics on extraordinary naturalisation.
