Abstract
Izvedla sem reakcije med različnimi kobaltovimi(II) solmi in ligandom 4-(hidroksimetilpiridinom). Reakcije sem izvedla v različnih stehiometričnih razmerjih med kovino in ligandom ter pri tem uporabila različna topila (metanol, acetonitril in vodo). Uporabljene so bile naslednje kobaltove(II) soli: kobaltov(II) nitrat heksahidrat, kobaltov(II) klorid heksahidrat, kobaltov(II) sulfat heptahidrat ter kobaltov(II) bromid hidrat. Uspešno sintetizirane produkte sem okarakterizirala z elementno CHN analizo, infrardečo spektroskopijo, termogravimetrično analizo in rentgensko praškovno difrakcijo. V primeru monokristalov sem določila tudi kristalno strukturo z difrakcijo na monokristalu.

Title:Cobalt coordination compounds with 4-(hydroxymethyl)pyridine
Abstract:
Reactions between different cobalt(II) salts and 4-(hydroxymethyl)pyridine as a ligand were performed. Reactions were carried out in different metal to ligand stoichiometric ratios, using different solvents (methanol, acetonitrile and water). The following cobalt(II) salts were used: cobalt(II) nitrate hexahydrate, cobalt(II) chloride hexahydrate, cobalt(II) sulfate heptahydrate, and cobalt(II) bromide hydrate. Successfully synthesized products were characterized by CHN elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray powder diffraction. In case of monocrystals, crystal structure determination from single-crystal diffraction data was also performed.
