This thesis focuses on the development of Etbin Kristan's social, political and cultural thought. We focus mainly on the period from the founding of the Yugoslav Social Democratic Party in 1896 until his death after the Second World War. The focus of our research on the political thought lies mainly on the exploration of Kristan's views on the national question among Slovenes and in the context of cultural and national autonomy. The survey of socio-political themes includes in particular his views on the workers' question, accompanied by a survey of his writings on the women's question. On the cultural themes, the research focuses partly on the literary themes on which he wrote in the first half of the 20th century.
