Abstract
Diplomska naloga analizira položaj žensk v literaturi, kakor ga v svojih delih prikažeta Virginia Woolf in stoletje za njo Deborah Levy. Ob opiranju na feministično literarno teorijo, esej Lastna soba Virginie Woolf in živo avtobiografijo Deborah Levy naloga nakazuje na družbene razmere in situacije, katerim so ženske bile podvržene in ki so vplivale na njihovo zmožnost uveljavljanja v literarnem svetu ter svetu nasploh od 16. stoletja pa vse do danes. Ob analizi obravnavanih del obeh avtoric se izkaže, da se borba za enakopravnost nadaljuje tudi v sodobnem času.

Title:From A Room of One's Own to Real Estate: A View of Woman and Author in the Living Autobiography of Deborah Levy in Relation to A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf
Abstract:
The thesis analyzes the position of women in literature as portrayed by Virginia Woolf and, a century later, Deborah Levy. By relying on feminist literary theory, Woolf's essay A Room of One's Own and Levy's living autobiography it indicates the social conditions and situations to which women were subjected, affecting their ability to assert themselves in the literary world and society at large from the 16th century to the present day. The analysis of the works of both authors reveals that the struggle for equality continues in contemporary times.
