The thesis focuses on the role of social support for mothers during the first year of their child's life. Using qualitative methodology, particularly in-depth interviews and data analysis, it explores the experiences, perspectives, and coping strategies of mothers in various life circumstances. The diversity of the sample and a thorough approach to analysis provide a comprehensive insight into the complexity of motherhood and the importance of social support during this crucial period. Findings indicate that social support, primarily from partners, family, and friends, is essential in overcoming the challenges of motherhood. Practical assistance in daily tasks proves significant for the emotional and psychological well-being of mothers. Changes in the partner relationship require open communication and mutual support. Additionally, access to professional support, such as counseling and self-help groups, also plays an important role in improving the mother's well-being. The comprehensive approach to the research provides an in-depth understanding of the maternal experience and the need for social support during this sensitive period, which can contribute to the development of better support systems for mothers.
