Abstract
Diplomska naloga proučuje spreminjanje vodnih površin na Cerkniškem polju s pomočjo satelitskih posnetkov skozi večletno obdobje, z namenom ugotavljanja razporeditve vodnih površin po polju in ugotavljanju nadmorske višine gladine teh površin. Uporabljeni so bili posnetki sistemov Sentinel-2 in Landsat 8-9. S pomočjo analize infrardečega kompozita, kompozita za analizo vegetacije in vodnega indeksa NDWI so bile analizirane štiri različne stopnje ojezeritve Cerkniškega polja. Klasifikacije na podlagi teh metod so bile uporabljene za določanje nadmorskih višin gladin na podlagi digitalnega modela višin. Glavni izzivi analize so bili pridobivanje kakovostnih satelitskih posnetkov zaradi oblačnosti, razlikovanje med vodo in vegetacijo ter različno razporejanje manjših vodnih površin skozi leto. Naloga se dotakne tudi opredelitve ojezeritve v različnih fazah. Naloga je uspešno dosegla zastavljene cilje in omogočila natančen vpogled v dinamiko ojezeritve, kar lahko prispeva k uspešnosti nadaljnjega raziskovanja.

Title:Monitoring the Process of Lake Formation in the Cerknica Polje by satelite Imagery Analysis
Abstract:
The thesis examines the change of water surfaces in the Cerknica field using satellite imagery over a multi-year period, in order to determine the distribution of water surfaces in the field and to determine the elevation of the water surface. Sentinel-2 and Landsat 8-9 imagery were used. Four different stages of the Cerknica lake were analysed by means of an infrared composite analysis, a vegetation analysis composite and the NDWI water index. The classifications based on these methods were used to determine the elevations of the water levels based on the digital elevation model. The main challenges of the analysis were the acquisition of good quality satellite images due to cloud cover, the distinction between water and vegetation and the different distribution of small water areas throughout the year. The task also touches on the definition of lake formation in different phases. The task has successfully achieved its objectives and has provided a detailed insight into the dynamics of the lake, which can contribute to the success of further research.
