The subject of this thesis is a complex conservation-restoration of bronze canopic jar of Ferdinand von Auersperg. Canopic jar consists of mixed materials, which have different optimal storing conditions. Together with the responsible curator, we decided that we will be preserving all materials separately. We begin the work with presentation of tradition of canopic jars and the Auersperg family. For a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the subject, we present the previous conservation-restoration interventions and scientific research. Following with a description of the condition of the canopy with photo and graphic documentation for a better presentation. The conservation-restoration procedures of the bronze canopy are written in a chronological order for various materials. The intervention focuses on three main materials: a bronze vase, a glass vase and organic material. Finishing with the problem and preventive conservation of the heart.
