Abstract
Metode dela: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo s pregledom domače in tuje strokovne in znanstvene literature. Iskali smo jo v bibliografskih podatkovnih bazah ScienceDirect, PubMed ter iskalnikih Cobib in Google Scholar. V diplomskem delu smo uporabili 61 enot strokovne in znanstvene literature.

Title:Nurses coping with stress in cardiopulmonary resuscitation : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a life-saving procedure, but it can take a toll on the mental and emotional well-being of those involved. It is considered one of the most stressful experiences in nursing, which directly and indirectly leads to stressful situations, fatigue, burnout and other physical and psychological problems. Purpose: The aim of the thesis is to study the nurses coping with stress during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and to define cardiopulmonary resuscitation and stress among nurses with the help of scientific and professional domestic and foreign literature. Methods: In the diploma thesis, we used a descriptive method with a review of domestic and foreign professional and scientific literature. We searched for it in the bibliographic databases ScienceDirect, PubMed, Cobib and Google Scholar. In the thesis, we used 61 units of professional and scientific literature. Results: We found that the situations during cardiopulmonary resuscitation that cause the most stress among nurses are mainly time constraints, emotional situations and physical effort. The most common consequences of stress in cardiopulmonary resuscitation among nurses are: reduced quality of work, emotional stress, poor teamwork, health and safety consequences, post-traumatic stress disorder and burnout. Discussion and conclusion: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation brings negative consequences to nurses, as it causes a greater amount of stress that can lead to various conditions such as burnout, disengagement, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc. It is important that healthcare institutions advocate for the well-being of nurses and other healthcare workers and provide assistance in such situations.
