Abstract

Title:Youth unemployment in Slovenia and Spain
Abstract:
After completing their studies, young people become one of the most vulnerable groups on the labour market, and they represent a major problem for every country. The transition from education to the labour market is already challenging, especially if the market situation is demanding and there is a shortage of jobs. Young people find themselves in a challenging situation, as their effort of many years of education does not bring results. In my final thesis, I deal with problems on the labour market among young people in Slovenia and Spain. In the first part I focus on explaining definitions related to unemployment and youth and identify the categories most exposed. In my research work, I use statistics to find out where does the higher unemployment rate among young people occur, in Slovenia or Spain, and identify the causes that affect this.
