Abstract
Magistrsko delo se osredotoča na oblikovanje promenade v Štepanjskem naselju v Ljubljani z namenom oživitve modernističnega naselja z uvedbo različnih aktivnosti na prostem. Delo obravnava analizo ulice kot javnega prostora, njenih družbenih, kulturnih in političnih funkcij, ter preučuje razvoj sodobnih ulic v različnih svetovnih mestih. Posebno pozornost posveča razlikovanju med ulico in promenado, podprto s primeri iz prakse. V okviru dela je bila podrobno analizirana lokacija Štepanjskega naselja, vključno z njeno morfologijo, prometom, zelenimi površinami in drugimi urbanimi značilnostmi. Na podlagi teh analiz je bil razvit projekt ureditve nove promenade, ki spodbuja trajnost in skupnost, s posebnim poudarkom na oblikovanju in funkcionalnosti prostora.

Title:Urban design of the promenade in Štepanjsko naselje, Ljubljana
Abstract:
The master's thesis focuses on the design of a promenade in the Štepanjsko naselje in Ljubljana, with the aim of revitalizing the modernist neighborhood through the implementation of various outdoor activities. The thesis analyzes the street as a public space, examining its social, cultural, and political functions, and explores the development of contemporary streets in various cities around the world. Special attention is given to the distinction between streets and promenades, supported by practical examples. The thesis includes a detailed analysis of the Štepanjsko naselje location, covering its morphology, traffic, green spaces, and other urban characteristics. Based on these analyses, a project for the development of a new promenade was created, promoting sustainability, community with a particular emphasis on design and functionality.
