Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo preučevali razlike v rasti bikov in telic devetih najbolj zastopanih pasem v Sloveniji med letoma 2005 in 2023. V raziskavo so bile vključene pasme lisasta, rjava, črno-bela, cikasta, šarole, limuzin, angus, škotsko višavsko govedo in galloway. Znotraj vsake pasme smo analizirali dve kategoriji – mlade bike (kategorija A) in telice (kategorija E). Podatke o zaklanih živalih smo pridobili od Sektorja za identifikacijo in registracijo ter informacijske vede (SIRIS), rast pa ocenili na osnovi neto prirasta. V kategoriji mladih bikov (A) je pasma šarole dosegla najboljše rezultate z največjimi povprečnim neto prirastom 629,62 g/dan in maso klavnih polovic 383,71 kg. Poleg tega so ti biki prejeli odlične ocene za konformacijo (10,05) in zamaščenost (6,46). Nato so sledili biki pasem limuzin, angus in lisasta, nekoliko slabše rezultate pa so dosegli biki rjave, črno-bele in galloway pasme. Najslabše rezultate so dosegli biki škotsko višavske pasme, ki so dosegli le 40 % prirasta bikov pasme šarole. Podobne razlike med pasmami so bile opazne tudi pri telicah, kjer so telice pasme šarole dosegle najboljše rezultate, medtem ko so telice škotsko višavske pasme dosegle najslabše rezultate.

Title:Growrh od cattle of different breeds
Abstract:
In the thesis, we examined the differences in the growth of bulls and heifers of the nine breeds most represented in Slovenia between the years 2005 and 2023. The study included the Simmental, Brown Swiss, Holstein, Cika, Charolais, Limousin, Angus, Highland and Galloway breeds. Within each breed, we analyzed two categories - young bulls (category A) and heifers (category E). Slaughtered animal data were obtained from the Identification, Registration and Information Systems Division (SIRIS) and growth was estimated based on net daily gain. In the young bull category (A), the Charolais breed achieved the best results with the highest average daily net gain (629.62 g/day) and the highest carcass weight (383.71 kg). In addition, Charolais bulls had very good carcass conformation (10.05) and fatness (6.46), followed by Limousin, Angus and Simmental bulls, while Brown Swiss, Holstein and Galloway bulls scored slightly lower. The worst results were achieved by the Highland bulls, which only achieved 40 % of the growth of the Charolais bulls. Similar differences between the breeds were also observed in the heifers, with Charolais heifers achieving the best results, while Highland heifers achieved the worst results.
