In my thesis, I focus on the traffic management issues on a section of Bettetova Street in Ljubljana,
which I believe require renovation. First, I describe the traffic management problems, provide images,
determine the location, and list the deficiencies. In the second chapter, I will present the theoretical
foundations of roundabout design, based on the guidelines that serve as the basis for the reconstruction
of the intersections in question. For each selected intersection, I will demonstrate a reconstruction
method that improves traffic flow and safety. For the first and second intersections, I will convert the
existing three-way intersection into a roundabout. For the third intersection, I will implement a gradeseparated junction. For the fourth intersection, I have chosen a solution with central traffic islands. For
the fifth intersection, I have reconstructed the existing roundabout into a single-lane roundabout with
right-turn slip lanes. Finally, I will include appendices with all the descriptions of traffic solutions,
signs, and plans created in AutoCAD software.
