Za kuliso : Idejna zasnova začasnega kreativnega središča ob prenovi gradu Škrljevo na Dolenjskem

Naša stavbna dediščina, zlasti zapuščeni gradovi, se v veliki meri srečujejo z ogroženostjo zaradi pomanjkanja sredstev za njihovo vzdrževanje. Takšne stavbe propadajo tudi zaradi odsotnosti primernih vsebin, ki bi jim vrnile življenje. Ideja naloge je, da namesto “zaprtega” tipa prenove z neprilagojeno programsko zasnovo in visoko investicijo, v proces vkjučimo lokalno skupnost, širšo javnost ter stroko, da bi skozi začasne oblike intervencij ugotovili, kaj prostor sploh potrebuje. Gre za širšo strategijo “odprte” prenove, ki je v nalogi realizirana na primeru gradu Škrljevo pri Šentrupertu na Dolenjskem. Revitalizacija gradu se začne že med prenovo in ni zgolj špekulacija investitorja, ampak je posledica debat, delavnic in drugih dejavnosti, ki se zvrstijo v začasni strukturi kreativnega centra. Za te namene izkoristi začasno in modularno strukturo gradbenega odra. Dejavnosti začasne strukture, ki se izkažejo kot primeri dobre prakse, se po prenovi prenesejo v grad.

• Title: Behind The Scenes : Conceptual design of a temporary creative center during the renovation of Škrljevo castle in Dolenjska region

Abstract

Our architectural heritage, especially abandoned castles, is largely under threat due to a lack of funds for their maintenance. Such buildings also fall into disrepair due to the absence of suitable content that would revitalise them. The idea of this project is to replace a reckless “closed-off” renovation which involves an unadapted programme and a high investment with a process that includes the locals, the experts and the general public. This “open” renovation utilises temporary forms of intervention to find out what the space needs in the first place. It is a broader renovation strategy, realized in the thesis on the case-study of Škrljevo castle near Šentrupert in Dolenjska region. The revitalization of the castle begins during the renovation and is not just an investor’s speculation, but the result of debates, workshops and other activities that take place in the temporary structure of the creative center. The structure is made up from Construction scaffolding with its temporary and modular nature. The activities of the temporary structure, which prove to be examples of good practice, are transferred to the castle after the renovation.
