Abstract
V kasnejših terminih so bili pridelki manjši, predvsem zaradi visokih temperatur.

Title:EFFECT OF SOWING DATES ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF DRY BEANS (Phaseolus vulgaris var. nanus)
Abstract:
The thesis investigates the effect of different sowing dates on the growth and yield of bush bean for grain (Phaseolus vulgaris var. nanus) at the location Ivanci in Prekmurje in 2023. The experiment was designed with three bush bean for grain varieties, 'Češnjevec´, 'Buran' and 'Zorin', which differ in their maturation time. 'Češnjevec' is the earliest variety, 'Buran' is the medium-late variety and 'Zorin' is the late variety. The five sowing dates (26.04.2023, 19.05.2023, 08.06.2023, 30.06.2023, 27.07.2023) followed each other at three-week intervals from the end of April to July, with the exception of the last, fifth date, which was designed as a late sowing date after the main crop had been harvested.. The study found that sowing dates have a significant impact on plant development and total and marketable yields. For all varieties, the highest total and marketable yields were obtained at the first sowing date (average total yield: 'Češnjevec' - 1.46 t/ha, 'Buran' - 1.76 t/ha, 'Zorin' - 1.37 t/ha, average marketable yields: 'Buran' - 1.76 t/ha, 'Zorin' - 1.37 t/ha, average marketable yields: 1.31 t/ha, 1.14 t/ha for 'Češnjevec', 0.95 t/ha for 'Zorin') Yields were lower at later dates, mainly due to high temperatures. The variety 'Češnjevec' had the highest marketable yield in all dates except the third. This suggests that the variety 'Češnjevec' is the most adapted to the different sowing dates. At the fifth growing date, only the pods of the early variety 'Češnjevec' reached technological maturity, where, due to the shorter growing season and less favourable growing conditions, the average total (0.17 t/ha) and marketable (0.13 t/ha) yields were the lowest in relation to the other growing dates.
