Abstract
V bločnem poskusu leta 2023 smo v vinogradu HCBF v Vipavski dolini poskušali ugotoviti, kako različni ampelotehnični ukrepi vplivajo na količino in kakovost grozdja in vina sorte 'Malvazija'.

Title:
The impact of ampelotechnic measures on the quantity and quality of grape and wine of 'Malvazija' variety in the Vipavska dolina winegrowing district
Abstract:
In a block trial in 2023 in HCBF in the Vipava Valley, we studied how different ampelotechnic measures affect the quantity and quality of grapes and wine of the 'Malvazija' variety. The trial consisted of four treatments, control (K), early shoot topping (ZV), shoot wrapping (OVM) and young leaf removal (RML). The highest mass of 100 berries was weighed in the OVM treatment (268±3.18 g) and the lowest in the ZV treatment (232±4.18 g). The average sugar content of the berries was highest in the K (18.1±0.44 °Brix) and ZV treatments (18.1±0.93 °Brix) and lowest in the RML treatment (15.8±0.26 °Brix). The highest average pH value of the berries was measured in the ZV treatment (3.37±0.02) and the lowest in the OVM treatment (3.33±0,02). On average, the highest acidity of the berries was measured in the RML treatment (6.58±0.04 g/l) and the lowest in the ZV treatment (5.77±0.44 g/l). The average content of reducing sugars of the wine was highest in the K treatment (3.2 g/l) and lowest in the RML treatment (0.5 g/l). The highest average pH value was measured in the ZV treatment wine (3.43) and the lowest in the RML treatment (3.34). The wines of the treatments RML and OMV contained on average the highest total acidity (7.0 g/l) and the K treatment contained the lowest total acidity (6.5 g/l). The highest average alcohol content was measured in the K treatment (10.8 vol. %) and the lowest in the RML treatment (9.0 vol. %). The RML treatment was the only one to show an effect on the quality of the grapes and the wine of the 'Malvasia' variety. The experiment should be repeated several times in order to obtain useful data to help growers produce better quality grapes.
