The diploma thesis analyzes the thematization of partisanship in three novels by Vitomil Zupan ‒ The gates of the foggy city, Minuet for guitar and Comedy of human tissue. It briefly presents the theories of autobiography and autobiographical elements in Zupan's novelistic work, and with the aim of better understanding the author's texts, it also provides some information about his life. It also discusses the tradition of thematizing partisanship in Slovenian literature and the characteristics of problematically named partisan novels. The assignment comparatively analyzes the author's evaluation and presentation of the Yugoslavian Resistance Force in three of his works and tries to determine how, if at all, Zupan's attitude towards partisanship changes.
