Abstract

Title:
The Implementation of Solar Power Plants with Battery Storage in Slovenia
Abstract:
The diploma thesis examines the implementation of solar power plants with battery storage in Slovenia. Both domestic and foreign literature on renewable energy sources, solar energy, solar power plants, and battery storage were used. The first part introduced renewable energy sources, households' attitudes towards renewable energy sources in Europe, solar energy, basic characteristics of solar power plants and battery storage and the impact of physical-geographical and socio-geographical factors on the installation and purchase of solar power plants. The empirical part presented the research results, aimed at exploring the factors influencing households' decisions to purchase solar power plants and solar power plants with battery storage. The results of the survey showed that economic factors are, on average, more important than non-economic factors for households when deciding to purchase solar power plants with battery storage.
