Abstract
V okviru diplomskega dela smo izvedli anketno raziskavo na dvojezični srednji šoli in treh enojezičnih srednjih šolah v Pomurju – Gimnazija Murska Sobota, Ekonomska šola Murska Sobota in Gimnazija Franca Miklošiča Ljutomer.

Title:Bilingualism in Secondary Education in Pomurje
Abstract:
Bilingualism in education requires many adjustments in law, organization and content, and brings many challenges. The Lendava Bilingual Secondary School, as the only bilingual secondary school in Slovenia, has been facing these challenges for more than 40 years. We also conducted a survey in a bilingual secondary school and three monolingual secondary schools in Pomurje - the Gymnasium Murska Sobota, the School of Economics Murska Sobota and the Gymnasium Franc Miklošič Ljutomer. The answers we received showed that students in Pomurje have a positive attitude towards bilingualism, the language of education is not the most important factor for choosing a secondary school, but rather the proximity and the programme of the school, and the topic of bilingualism is better known by students of bilingual secondary schools, who are themselves actively involved in the process of bilingual education, compared to students of monolingual schools. Most students do not think that the proximity of an ethnically mixed area should affect the inclusion of the topic of bilingualism in geography lessons.
