Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava konserviranje in restavriranje izveska na železni pločevini iz Narodnega muzeja Slovenije. Izvesek je na obeh straneh poslikan v oljni tehniki. Zaradi tehnologije izdelave in stopnje poškodovanosti gre za zelo kompleksen in problematičen objekt, izziv pa predstavlja tudi pomanjkanje preliminarnih informacij in strokovne literature na to temo. V prvem delu s pomočjo raziskovanja, interdisciplinarnega sodelovanja in analiznih tehnik definiramo materialno in tehnološko zgradbo umetnine. V nadaljevanju so predstavljeni obsežni konservatorsko-restavratorski postopki na obeh straneh izveska: odstranjevanje nečistoč, porumenelega premaza in korozijskih produktov z barvne plasti, sanacija korodiranega nosilca, nanos zaščitnega premaza in estetska prezentacija.

Title:Conservation and restoration of hanging painting on iron plate from National museum of Slovenia
Abstract:
The master's thesis deals with the conservation and restoration of a hanging painting on sheet iron from the National Museum of Slovenia. The object is painted in oil on both sides. Due to the manufacturing technology and the degree of damage, it is a very complex and problematic object, and the lack of preliminary information and professional literature on the subject also represents a challenge. In the first part, with the help of research, interdisciplinary collaboration and analysis techniques, we define the material and technological structure of the artwork. In the following, extensive conservation and restoration procedures on both sides of the panel are presented: surface cleaning, removal of old varnish and corrosion products from the paint layer, conservation of the corroded support, application of a protective coating and aesthetic presentation.
