Abstract
Obravnavano območje nekdanje tovarne Alprem se nahaja v neposredni bližini starega mestnega jedra v Kamniku ob reki Kamniški Bistrici ter je trenutno degradirano. S pomočjo analiz prostora v mikro in makro merilu ter pregleda zgodovinskega razvoja območja se je skozi problematiko zastavila vizija mesta, ki pa se nanaša tudi na obravnavano območje. Območje obravnave, ki leži med reko in historičnim delom mesta – Šutno, ponuja obilico priložnosti za nove rešitve, ki bi lahko prispevale k oživitvi mestnega jedra ter hkrati aktivirale obrečni prostor. Mesto samo je zasnovano vzdolž reke, eden izmed ciljev zasnove pa je vzpostaviti tudi povezave prečno na reko. Krovni cilj zasnove je z novo urbanistično in arhitekturno zasnovo območja nekdanje tovarne Alprem in pripadajočega obrečnega prostora – tako prostorsko kot programsko – prispevati k preobrazbi »zaspanega« mesta v aktivno mesto, ki je živo in dejavno ves čas. S pomočjo analiz se bo predvidela nova urbanistična rešitev manjše stanovanjsko-poslovne zazidave z javnim vozliščem, kar naj bi omogočilo nadaljnji razvoj širšega območja in s tem preobrazbo mesta. Zasnova je sestavljena iz štirih manjših enot, ki jih sestavljajo pod enote.

Title:Between the street and the river Conceptual design of residential and commercial buildings in the former Alprem factory area inKamnik
Abstract:
The site of the former Alprem factory is located in the immediate vicinity of the old town centre of Kamnik along the Kamniška Bistrica river and is currently degraded. Through spatial analyses on micro and macro scales and a review of the historical development of the area, a vision of the city has been set out through the issues, which is also applicable to the area under consideration. The area under consideration, situated between the river and the historic part of the city - Šutna, offers plenty of opportunities for new solutions that could contribute to the revitalisation of the city centre and at the same time activate the riverside space. The city itself is designed along the river, and one of the design objectives is to create connections across the river in the city. The overarching aim of the design is to contribute to the transformation of the ‘sleepy’ city into an active city, alive and active all the time, through a new urban and architectural design of the former Alprem factory site and the associated riverside space - both spatially and programmatically. The analyses will be used to envisage a new urban solution of a small residential and commercial development with a public hub, which should allow for the further development of the wider area and thus the transformation of the city. The design consists of four smaller units, made up of sub-units.
