Idejna zasnova centra za gorsko kolesarjenje v Dolgi vasi pri Kočevju

Gorsko kolesarjenje je eno izmed vedno bolj priljubljenih adrenalinskih aktivnosti pri nas in po svetu, saj je primerno za zelo širok spekter populacije ter predstavlja motiv za potovanje. Posledično nastajajo nove turistične destinacije, ki obiskovalcem nudijo celovito izkušnjo, primer takega prostora se razvija v okolici Kočevja. Nahaja se na območju starega smučišča nad naseljem Dolga vas. MTB Trail Center Kočevje je sestavljen iz gostinskih in pomožnih objektov, parkirišč ter omrežja poti različnih težavnostnih stopenj. Povečan interes obiskovalcev je pripomogel pri razvoju in širjenju centra, vendar je dodajanje potrebnih vsebin potekalo stihijsko, brez načrtovanja. Cilj magistrske naloge je celovita zasnova centra za gorsko kolesarjenje, ki bo skupaj z že obstoječo kolesarsko infrastrukturo pripomogel k turističnem razvoju kraja. Vsi prostori in vsebine, ki jih gorsko-kolesarska destinacija potrebuje, so strnjeni v eno povezano zasnovo.

• Title: Conceptual design of the Mountain biking center in Dolga vas near Kočevje

Abstract

Mountain biking is becoming one of the most popular adrenaline activities both locally and globally, as it caters to a wide range of people and serves as a motivation for travel. Consequently, new tourist destinations are emerging that offer visitors a comprehensive experience, with one such destination being developed in the Kočevje area. Located on the site of an old ski slope above the village of Dolga vas, the MTB Trail Center Kočevje consists of hospitality and auxiliary facilities, parking lots, and a network of trails with varying difficulty levels. The increased interest from visitors has driven the development and expansion of the center; however, the addition of necessary amenities has occurred haphazardly, without proper planning. The aim of this master’s thesis is to create a comprehensive concept for the mountain biking center that, together with the existing cycling infrastructure, will contribute to the Kočevje region’s tourism development. All the spaces and facilities needed for a mountain biking destination have been integrated into a single, cohesive framework.
