Abstract
Embalaža je tisti del izdelka s katerim smo najprej v stiku. Kljub prvemu stiku jo zelo hitro zavržemo in tako dodatno pripomoremo k povečevanju odpadkov. K zmanjšanju odpadne embalaže lahko pripomoremo z vpeljavo okolju bolj prijaznih materialov kot so papir in karton izdelan iz invazivnih rastlinskih vrst. Ker predstavlja načrtovanje take embalaže dodaten kompleksen problem, smo v okviru magistrske naloge razvili spletno platformo s katero si lahko posameznik pomaga pri načrtovanju le te. Za razvoj smo uporabili spletno ogrodje Django, ki nam je s svojo fleksibilnostjo omogočil hiter razvoj in implementacijo rešitve. Pri izračunih smo si pomagali z blažilnimi krivuljami izbranih zaščitnih materialov, kjer kot ključen parameter predstavlja velikost kontaktne površine med izdelkom in embalažo. S pomočjo podatkov na osnovi dejanskih eksperimentov smo potrdili uporabo in uporabnost spletne aplikacije.

Title:Development of an online platform for designing paper packaging based on cushioning curves
Abstract:
Packaging is the first part of a product that we come into contact with. Despite this initial interaction, we quickly discard it, contributing further to the increase in waste. We can help reduce packaging waste by introducing more environmentally friendly materials, such as paper and cardboard made from invasive plant species. However, designing such packaging presents an additional complex challenge. In our master's thesis, we developed an online platform to assist individuals in designing environmentally friendly packaging. For the development, we used the Django web framework, which, with its flexibility, enabled us to quickly develop and implement the solution. In the calculations, we used cushioning curves of selected protective materials, where the key parameter is the size of the contact surface between the product and the packaging. Using data based on actual experiments, we validated the use and functionality of the web application.
