Vpliv parametrov toplotne obdelave na mehanske lastnosti AlSi7MgLi zlitine

Abstract
Al-Li zlitine so v zadnjem stoletju postale pomembna tema za transportno industrijo, saj dodatek litija zmanjša gostoto in izboljša modul elastičnosti zlitine. Podobno kot zlitine Al-Si-Mg ali Al-Si-Cu, tudi Al-Li zlitine toplotno obdelamo, pri čemer se ustvarijo izločki v mikrostrukturi, kar povzroča izločevalno utrjevanje, ki izboljša mehanske lastnosti zlitine. Namen diplomskega dela je opazovanje vplivov parametrov, kot sta čas in temperatura na mehanske lastnosti toplotno obdelane zlitine AlSi7Mg z dodatkom 1 mas. % litija. V laboratoriju smo pripravili zlitino, ki smo jo stalili v indukcijski peči. Zlitino smo ulili v grafitno formo, pri čemer smo s pomočjo termoelementa spremljali potek strjevanja in opravljali enostavno termično analizo – ETA. Pripravili smo 14 vzorcev, ki smo jih razrezali, vstavili v maso ter zbrusili in spolirali. Nato smo vzorce raztopno žarili, kasneje pa še umetno starali, pri čemer smo spreminjali temperaturo in čas umetnega staranja. Sledilo je merjenje mehanskih lastnosti, in sicer smo merili trdoto po Brinellu, kjer smo za vsak vzorec izmerili 3 meritve in izračunali povprečje. Sledila je metalografska analiza. Vzorce smo naparili z ogljikom ter pogledali z optičnim in vrstičnim elektronskim mikroskopom, kjer smo opazovali mikrostrukturne sestavine. Iz dobljenih rezultatov smo dokazali prisotnosti posameznih mikrostrukturnih sestavin, hkrati pa opredelili najbolj optimalen način toplotne obdelave za doseg najvišje trdote.

Title:Influence of heat treatment parameters on mechanical properties of AlSi7MgLi alloy
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to observe the effects of parameters such as time and temperature on the mechanical properties of heat-treated AlSi7Mg alloy with the addition of 1 mass % lithium. In the laboratory, we prepared an alloy that we melted in an induction furnace. We poured the alloy into a graphite mold, where we monitored the solidification process using a thermocouple and performed simple thermal analysis – ETA. We prepared 14 samples, which we cut, embedded in resin, and ground and polished. Then we solution-annealed the samples, followed by artificial aging, during which we varied the temperature and time of artificial aging. We then measured the mechanical properties, specifically Brinell hardness, where we took three measurements for each sample and calculated the average. This was followed by metallographic analysis. The samples were carbon coated and examined with optical and scanning electron microscopes, where we observed microstructural components. From the obtained results, we confirmed the presence of individual microstructural components and determined the most optimal heat treatment process to achieve the highest hardness.
