Priprava kompleksa bakrovega(I) klorida z imidazolijevim NHC ligandom

V diplomskem delu smo na osnovi literaturno znanih podobnih kompleksov pripravili bakrov(I) kloro kompleks s sterično velikim imidazolijevim NHC ligandom. Izhajali smo iz 4-terc-butilbromobenzena kot osnove za sintezo kompleksnega liganda. Najprej smo pripravili bis(4-(terc-butil)fenil)metanol, ki smo ga nato uporabili za sintezo 2,6-bis[bis(4 terc-butilfenil)metil]-4-metilanilina. Tega smo nadalje pretvorili v 1,3-bis[2,6-bis[bis(4-terc butilfenil)metil]-4-metilfenil)imidazolijev klorid, ki je služil kot ligand za pripravo kompleksa bakrovega(I) klorida, (IPr**)CuCl. Vse spojine smo okarakterizirali z 1H NMR, MS in IR spektroskopijo ter jim določili temperaturo tališča.

• Title: Preparation of copper(I) chloride complex with imidazolium NHC ligand

Abstract

In the thesis, we have prepared a copper(I) chloro complex with a sterically large imidazolium NHC ligand based on similar complexes known from the literature. We started from 4-tert-butylbromobenzene as the basis for the synthesis of the complex ligand. First, we prepared bis(4-(tert-butyl)phenyl)methanol, which was then used for the synthesis of 2,6 bis[bis(4-tert-butylphenyl)methyl]-4-methylaniline. This compound was further converted to 1,3-bis[2,6-bis[bis(4-tert-butylphenyl)methyl]-4-methylphenyl)imidazolium chloride, which served as a ligand for the preparation of the copper(I) chloride complex (IPr**)CuCl. All compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, MS and IR spectroscopy and their melting point was determined.
