The goal of this work was thoroughly review and evaluate the tree inheritance in local unit Slovenska Bistrica. Landscape there was extremely diverse, economically attractive and rich with tree heritage. With the help of environmentalists and owners, the trees were surveyed. The data was obtained from the Register of natural values and Professional basis for declaring natural sites. On the field dendrological data was surveyed, and the health status of trees, danger signs to the surroundings and symptoms of threat were rated. For some trees specific actions were prescribed, such as cleaning dry branches, thinning crown guests, raising crown, reduction and crown tying, improving habitat and also cutting down. Most owners were very proud of theirs magnificent trees and they were taking good care of them. In the villages, beside farms, mainly limes and pears were growing, which was probably related to their nutritional value. In the forest beech and penduculate oak were dominating. 18 of the trees from the Register of the natural values of this area were no longer growing. With the regional foresters help we were able to prepare list, which contained 16 tree species that already qualify for the tree natural values of local or national importance, and were not yet placed in Register. The main goal was to update the overview of tree natural values, which will help both professionals and the general public.
