Note: | TITTLE: The Reflection of Macedonian Literature in the Slovenian Literary Sphere Between 2000 and 2023 / ABSTRACT: The thesis examines literary translations of Macedonian fiction (and literature of Macedonian immigrants) into Slovenian, published in the period from the beginning of the translation process until the data collection in August 2023. The theoretical background of our research is briefly presented. In the empirical part, a quantitative analysis of Slovenian translations of Macedonian fiction by literary type according to the period of publication and the target age structure was conducted. We presented translations by the three most frequent translators (after 2000), publishers of translations by literary type, e-editions and audio recordings, reprints, print runs (after 2000), financial support from stakeholders (after 2000), the state of print runs of translations without financial support (after 2000), literary-editorial activities (after 2000), literary festivals and prizes (after 2000), literary reviews (after 2000), entries in the recommended list of "DOBREKNJIGE.SI", and the borrowing of translations from libraries (after 2000). We presented literary-critical contributions in the literary sections of daily newspapers and specialised literary magazines and analysed the representation of reviews by publications, works, reviewers, and presented reviews of translations by the three most frequent translators, as well as evaluations by literary types, publications and reviewers, and the content of the reviews by themes (author, language, literary work and perception of the literary work). We projected the maximum potential reach of individual translations in the reading community. On the basis of the results obtained, we have drawn conclusions about the reception of Macedonian literature in the Slovenian sphere between 2000 and 2023. / KEYWORDS: Macedonian literature, literary translation, translations into Slovene laungage, literary-critical contributions, quantitative analysis, Slovene space, 2000-2023 |
