Abstract
Za varno letenje s padalom je ključno poznavanje hitrosti vetra. Na vzletiščih se za merjenje hitrosti največkrat uporabljajo čašni anemometri. V diplomskem delu smo se osredotočili na konstrukcijo, izdelavo in preskušanje čašnega anemometra v vetrovniku. Določanje referenčne hitrosti v vetrovniku smo izvedli s pomočjo etalonskega LDA-merilnega sistema. Z upoštevanjem relevantne literature smo določili dimenzije in geometrijo anemometra ter opredelili postopek za preskušanje oz. umerjanje. Ugotovili smo, da naš anemometer obratuje v ustreznem delovnem območju in dosega zadovoljivo točnost za praktično uporabo.

Title:Design and calibration of a cup anemometer
Abstract:
Knowing the wind speed is essential for safe paragliding. At take-offs, cup anemometers are most commonly used to measure speed. In this thesis we focused on the design, construction and testing of a cup anemometer in a wind tunnel. The determination of the wind tunnel reference velocity was carried out using a reference LDA-measurment system. The dimensions and geometry of the anemometer were determined by considering the relevant literature, and a procedure for testing was defined. We found that our anemometer operates within the appropriate operating range and achieves sufficient accuracy for practical use.
