The thesis is focused on a flywheel hub, which was machined on a purpose-built, but outdated line, where several mechanical operations were performed: grooving, internal taper reaming, curve turning and grinding, and hub face grinding. Due to space constraints and new programs, the company was interested in removing the obsolete line from the production process and replacing it with CNC technology. In the task, technologies with one and two passes of the mill for making a curve on a CNC lathe were presented. The problems encountered during the development of technology and their solution were presented. Above all, there were difficulties in ensuring the correct shape of the curve and its roughness. The findings present the entire processing technology, which enables the production of a hub with the correct dimensional and geometric tolerances in an economically acceptable processing time. We have also successfully implemented the hub production technology in production and thus saved a lot of much-needed space, which is now dedicated to new programs in the company.
