Abstract

Title:Development of the multi-platform 3D game Tandem Trials: From idea to game in Unity
Abstract:
The objective of the diploma thesis is to develop a multiplayer mobile video-game using the Unity environment and the Photon Unity Networking (PUN) package. The game will allow players to create and host rooms for those who want to play together. Each room will be limited to two players, whose task will be to collectively overcome the set challenges in the virtual world. It will also support multiple spectators, which will be able to follow the progress of the players. The following section first presents the tools that were used to create the game. The main part of the thesis presents the implementation of the PUN package to enable multiplayer connectivity, the development of functionalities and gameplay elements in the Unity environment, and the creation of models, textures, and animations in the Blender program. The final part analyses the end product, and also presents possible improvements.
