Abstract
Tehnika lasersko inducirane kavitacije z uporabo Er:YaG laserskega sistema se v dentalni medicini vse bolj uveljavlja za odstranjevanje škodljivega biofilma na zobeh in dlesnih. Količina inducirane kavitacije je odvisna od oblike vlakenske konice, skozi katero se visoko intenzivno lasersko sevanje uvaja v tekočino. V sklopu naloge je bil proces kavitacije posnet s hitro kamero in analiziran v okolju MATLAB. Preučene so bile tri različne oblike vlakenskih konic. Z uporabo tehnik procesiranja videoposnetkov je bilo ugotovljeno, da je konična konica najučinkovitejša pri generiranju kavitacije.

Title:The influence of fiber tips on cavitation in dental medicine with the Er:YAG laser system
Abstract:
The technique of laser-induced cavitation using an Er:YAG laser system is increasingly being adopted in dental medicine for the removal of harmful biofilm on teeth and gums. The amount of induced cavitation depends on the shape of the fiber tip, through which high-intensity laser radiation is introduced into the fluid. In this study, the cavitation process was recorded with a high-speed camera and analyzed using MATLAB. Three different fiber tip shapes were examined. Video processing techniques revealed that the conical tip is the most effective in generating cavitation.
