Abstract
Nato smo vključene članke sintetizirali deskriptivno in tematsko.

Title:Engaging occupations: a systematic literature review : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: We know several types of occupations, including occupations to which we are committed and which go beyond normal daily experiences, or we are more engaged in them. We call this type of occupation "engaging occupation". These occupations often contain a feeling that stands out from the feelings associated with the other occupations. Purpose: To collect data that exists in the literature on the importance of engaging occupations in the life of an individual and to describe how engaging occupations are presented in the literature in the field of occupational therapy and occupational science and to determine the meaning of engaging occupations for human health and quality of life. Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted according to the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute. We searched for literature in three data-catalogue search databases using the key word engaging occupation. We then synthesized the included articles descriptively and thematically. Results: Eight qualitative articles were included. Three main themes were formed: Confirmation of the individual's identity through the performance of engaging occupations, Higher quality of life of individuals in connection with the structure of time and Higher satisfaction during and after the performance of engaging occupations. Discussion and conclusion: Articles using qualitative methodology predominated. During the implementation of engaging occupations, our identity is significantly formed. Even those around us recognize us as someone who devotes a lot of time to certain occupations to which we are committed. Spending time in engaging occupations that have meaning for us fills us with satisfaction and strengthens our self-esteem. This also improves the quality of life. The quality of life depends on several factors, but quality of life can be increased by spending time doing engaging occupations. According to one of the included articles, some engaging occupations may not support health or even harm health. In the future, it would make sense to investigate how engaging occupations are used in the practice of occupational therapists in Slovenia and internationally.
