Abstract
Raziskovala sem tudi, kaj je bilo članicam najbolj v pomoč, kakšne so bile dobre in slabe prakse dela v skupini, kako se je razvijala skupinska dinamika, kakšne so bile novo usvojene veščine in znanja zaradi članstva v skupini, kakšen je bil doprinos skupine k življenju posameznic, kako so sodelujoče ocenile možnosti za aktivno participacijo in delo facilitatork in kakšni so bili predlogi za izboljšanje dela v prihodnje.

Title:Group work with people with eating disorder experience
Abstract:
Eating disorders are serious mental health problems manifested in disturbance in eating patterns that start to have a negative impact on other aspects of life. Due to the feelings of being stigmatised and isolation that can result from experiencing an eating disorder, it is essential for such people to seek support and sources of help in their environment. There are many treatments and support approaches available for eating disorders. Group work is one of the social work methods that can be used on the road to recovery. As a facilitator of a support group for people with an eating disorder experience, I wondered how the participants evaluated the work in this group. My work involved qualitative investigation of the reasons for joining the group, the fulfilment of expectations and favourite aspects. I also explored what was most helpful for the members, what were the good and bad practices of the group work, how the group dynamics developed, what skills and knowledge were newly acquired as a result of being part of the group, what the group contributed to the lives of the individual women, how did the participants evaluate the opportunities for active participation and the work of the facilitators, and what were the suggestions for improving the work in the future.
