Abstract
V magistrskem delu je predstavljen problem ocenjevanja povprečnega časa do dogodka oz. povprečnega časa preživetja v kontekstu analize sotveganj, ki je del statističnega področja analize preživetja. V okviru problema so povzeta dosedanja dognanja in predlagana je ideja neparametrične metode za ocenjevanje omejenega povprečnega časa do dogodka v analizi sotveganj preko izračuna ploščine pod kumulativno krivuljo pojavnosti. Ta je podprta z ilustrativnimi primeri in simulacijsko študijo, ki utemeljujejo smiselnost predlagane metode ocenjevanja z njenimi statističnimi lastnostmi.

Title:
Mean time to event in competing risk analysis
Abstract:
The master thesis adresses the problem of estimating average time to an event i.e. mean survival time in the context of competing risk analysis as a part of the statistical branch of survival analysis. The thesis gives a short literature review on the topic and proposes an idea of non-parametric method for estimating restricted mean survival time in competing risks analysis by computing the area under the cumulative incidence curve. This method of estimation is supported with illustrative cases and simulation study which justify that the proposed method of estimation with its statistical properties is sensible.
