Abstract
Zaključna seminarska naloga raziskuje ikonografijo Aleksandra Velikega in Bukefala v renesančni umetnosti.

Title:Iconography of Alexander the Great and Bucephalus in renaissance art
Abstract:
The thesis researches the iconography of Alexander the Great and Bucephalus in Renaissance art. For the understanding of their iconography in the Renaissance, the previous periods are important, which show its development throughout history, as a reflection of the spirit of a certain time period. In this regard, both in antiquity and in the Middle Ages, are crucial writings about the Macedonian ruler, which also played an important role in Renaissance art. During this period, as a reflection of humanism and increased interest in antiquity, a new perception of Alexander the Great was established, which is also reflected in the preserved art from this time.
