Abstract
Diplomsko delo v prvem delu zajema obravnavo potencialov, ki jih ponuja umetnost za ozaveščanje o aktualnih okoljskih problematikah in načine, kako se lahko okoljske vsebine vpelje v pouk osnovne šole, predvsem pri predmetu likovna umetnost. Poudarek je namenjen načinom, kako vsebine predstaviti na področju arhitekturnega oblikovanja, med drugim tudi z uporabo naravnih materialov za oblikovanje likovnih izdelkov. Uporaba naravnih materialov se pri gradnji spodbuja tudi z vidika trajnostnega razvoja, zaradi česar je smiselna njihova vpeljava tudi v likovno ustvarjanje. Naravni materiali so pogosto navedeni kot možni materiali pri arhitekturnem oblikovanju za ustvarjanje maket, vendar pa je konkretnih načinov, kako z njimi rokovati, malo. Prav zato smo v drugem delu preizkušali različne načine oblikovanja, lepljenja, kombiniranja in povezovanja naravnih materialov tako med seboj kot tudi z drugimi recikliranimi in umetnimi materiali. Raziskovalni del je tako skupek ugotovitev, ki so prikazane kot fotografska dokumentacija postopkov uporabe in obdelave, opremljena z opisi in spoznanji, do katerih smo prišli ob rokovanju z materiali. Ugotovitve preizkušanja različnih tehnik oblikovanja pa so bile tudi vodilo pri oblikovanju končne makete. Ta prikazuje polodprti prostor, ki je oblikovan na način, da prikazuje realen način gradnje, od oblikovanja konstrukcije, dodajanja dopolnilnih elementov ter urejanja okolice, v katero je postavljen.

Title:Introducing environmental themes into architectural design through the use of natural materials
Abstract:
The first part of the work deals with the possibilities of art to raise awareness of current environmental issues and with the question of how environmental content can be introduced into primary school lessons, especially art lessons. The focus is on the possibilities of introducing this content in the field of architectural design, including the possibilities of presenting such themes through the use of natural materials to create works of art. The use of natural materials in the field of architectural design is also encouraged from a sustainable development perspective, making it worthwhile to introduce them into artistic design. Natural materials are often mentioned as a possibility for creating architectural models, but there are few concrete descriptions of how to work with them. Therefore, in the second part we experiment with different ways of shaping, gluing, combining and joining natural materials, as well as with other recycled and artificial materials. The research part is thus a collection of results presented as photo documentation of the use and processing, accompanied by descriptions and insights from the handling of the materials. The results were also decisive for the creation of our final model. This model represents a semi-open space designed to reflect a realistic construction method, from the creation of the structure to the addition of complementary elements and the landscaping of the environment in which it stands.
