Abstract
3Dčitalniki so draga oprema.

Title:Mobile phone as a 3D optical scanner: performance and use
Abstract:
3D scanners are expensive. If we want highquality results, we must invest a considerable sum. However, there are mobile applications on the market that allow 3D scanning with just an average mobile phone. This paper extensively evaluates and demonstrates the use of a mobile phone as a 3D scanner. The three most common methods (applications) for scanning with a mobile phone, which were used to scan three substantially different objects, are compared. This provided a good overview of the usability of each method. The scanning results are then used to demonstrate the reverse engineering process, specifically for modeling point clouds and simulating mechanical loads on the obtained model. The theoretical part of the final thesis includes theory related to the discussed topics of scanning, point cloud modeling, and simulation. As expected, it turned out that each 3D scanning method is useful for its set of purposes. With the obtained 3D meshes, we were able to create a parametric model of the object with minimal complications and perform load simulations on it.
