Abstract
V tem magistrskem delu sem preverila kakovost epruvet treh proizvajalcev, Greiner BIO-ONE, LT Burnik in BD, z dvema neodvisnima metodama, ionsko kromatografijo in molekularno absorpcijsko spektrometrijo. V epruvetah za odvzem krvi sem določila koncentracijo trinatrijevega citrata s tehniko ionske izključitvene kromatografije in z molekularno absorpcijsko spektrometrijo, pri čemer sem prišla do ugotovitve, da koncentracija omenjene spojine odstopa od nominalne koncentracije pri vseh treh obravnavanih proizvajalcih. Pri snemanju kromatogramov za trinatrijev citrat sem opazila nepojasnjene vrhove, ki so posledica prisotnosti nečistot v epruvetah. Nekatere možne nečistote, ki sem jih v tem delu preverila so K$^+$, Mg$^{2+}$, Ca$^{2+}$, heparin, ... S tehniko ionske izmenjalne kromatografije sem preverila, in v večini epruvet tudi dokazala, prisotnost različnih kationov (Li$^+$, Na$^+$, K$^+$, Mg$^{2+}$ in Ca$^{2+}$). Na koncu sem preverila tudi volumen dodanega antikoagulanta v novih epruvetah za odvzem krvi, pri čemer sem ugotovila, da je določen volumen antikoagulanta sicer nižji od nominalnega, vendar še vedno znotraj ±10 % tolerančnega območja.

Title:Recognition of Undeclared Additives in Blood Collection Tubes
Abstract:
In this work I inspected the quality of blood collection tubes (BCT) from three producers, Greiner BIO-ONE, LT Burnik and BD, with two methods, ion chromatography and molecular absorbtion spectrometry. With ion exclusion chromatography and molecular absorbtion spectrometry technique I was able to determine concentration of trisodium citrate. The results revealed that concentration of trisodim citrate determined with both techniques differ from nominal concentration in BCT of all three producers. It also became apparent from chromatograms that contaminants are present in samples. Some of contaminats that I suspected and was able to confirm were K$^+$, Mg$^{2+}$, Ca$^{2+}$, heparin, ... With ion exchange chromatography I was able to determine Li$^+$, Na$^+$, K$^+$, Mg$^{2+}$ and Ca$^{2+}$ in almost all three producers' BCTs. I also inspected the volume of added anticoagulant in new BCTs. I concluded that volume is within the ±10 % tolerance limits.
